Canadian with pending I-824 但又需要F1 student status怎么办？

I am a Canadian citizen but parents live in the US. Parents filed their I-485 when I was in Canada, because I was not in the US at the time, they filed the I-824 for me. 

I was accepted to a graduate program in the US, currently have an I-20, and was told that I need an F1 status to study while my I-824 is still pending. How can I prove non-immigrant intent with a pending I-824? 

Is there any way for Canadians to study full-time in the US while their I-824 is pending?
