Thank you very much Wolf! Actually, I luckly got my B visa in Osaka this April. The officer seemed very nice and gave me visa within 5 minutes including 3 minutes chat. I will apply the J visa with family (total 4). Just don't want to waste my $400. I can apply in China but someone said it was a bit easier to get visa here rather than China. So, really difficult to make decision.
