B-2 visa extension question

My Mom is here in the U.S. with B-2 visa. The visa shows multiple-entry until Feb 2006, and I-94 shows her status is valid until early August. I'm planning to take her to Canada for a few days during Independence day and then come back to the U.S.
My question is that when she comes back, will the custom grant her additional 6 months on her I-94? If yes, do I still need to apply for extension for her?
