No effect at all.
下一个H1的有效期 will show on your I-797+I94
It won't show anywhere in your passport.

Even for a person that has never been to USA and is in China now, he can get H1 approval I-797 with full three years and then go to consulate to get H1 visa stamp (6 months for PRC citizen)and enter US to get I-94 (valid until I-797 expires).
