2) Got institutional approval
3) Found an IGA
4) Found a experienced lawyer (almosted cheated by a Chinese Lawyer)
5) Got promoted to a senior position (postdoc is not good enough)
6) Published a advertisement for the position in a national circulated journal, several monthes before filing.
7) Accumulated over 10 strong external ref letters
8) Wrote 19-page cover letter (with lawyer's help), supported with a big package
9) Submitted after 1-year preparation
10) Asked for additional information (10 months later)
11) Wrote another 10-page letter (supported with documentation)
12) Most important, LAWYER FEE
13) Your research must be supported by IGA
14) Applied I-140 and got approved (so easy compared with J-1 waiver) when waiting for the waiver approval
15) J-1 Waiver got approved
16) Still need to apply extension of O-1 visa
17) Then, I-485, NOT YET
