Why 2nd FP 8 months after 1st?

Hi, everyone:

I've received a notice from USCIS (NSC) asking me to do 2nd FP on June 1, 2005. Actually, my wife and I did 1st FP on Sept. 30, 2004. We did not heard anything until I received this 2nd FP notice. However, my wife does not receive the 2nd notice. Did anyone experience the same thing as I do? What does this mean? Did they lose my 1st FP? or optimistically, they (NSC) are speeding up processing application, I may have my I-485 application approved soon? What does the code (2) mean? Any comments or ideas on this will be highly appreciated. Good luck to everyone!
