You should stay put for now and wait for the result. Whether you must leave US and re-enter depends on the I-94 part (or lack of) of the approval notice.
It seems that your H1 transfer petition was NEVER filed before April 30.

Your spouse case is no problem, because H4 to J1 was filed when your H1 was still good.
