urgent, please help!!

Anyone has experience to apply L2 (dependent) visa in Mexico (third country visa apply)?

Our L1/L2 visa has been expired for 5 months, but our I-94 is still ok until June 2004. My wife(L2) has to go back China for ugrent family matter, I know visa revaldation works but it takes too long. So she plans to go to Mexico to apply for L2 visa. To be safe, I(L1) don't apply. It is sure I will write an letter together with my company's letter(regarding my working status) with her, she will apply for L2 visa herself in Mexico.

Anyone knows：is this possible? how high the risk is it? Please help if you know! thanks so much!!!
