I 20 and 485 Pending CONFUSION

Guys,

If I have I485/140 pending, and current F1 I20 is expiring next week, should I extend my I 20? If I dont make I 20 extension and have the international student office changes my status to AOS, once I 140 gets denied, shall I leave country immediately?

If I do I 20 extension and dont inform the international officer my AOS status, whould this I20 extension has an impact on the decision of my I140/485?

REALLY CONFUSED. SHOULD I DO I20 extension or not?
