Do I have to stamp my passport

My 485 got approved last year. I got my passport stamped but till now I haven't got my real green card. The stamp expires the end of this month. If I don't have any plan to go out of the country and come back in the coming year, do I have to go have my passport stamped again in INS local office? If not, does it affact my PR status?
