naturalization Q

My friend got her GC through married to citizen last year.Now she wants to divorce because her hu*****and abuses her.Thus she can not apply citizen 3 years later if she got divorce.Can she still apply citizen 5 years later as most of the GC holder do?Thanks a lot!
