Forgot one thing!!

You should keep all evidence which showed that you and your spouse jointly owned something after your marriage, such as a joint title of a car or house, a joint bank account, a joint insurance card etc. They are good evidence to show your marriage was a real one. If you have not done that, do it ASAP before your divorce goes into effect. If you have kids, it will be a great help too.
