OPT was denied.help

i entered us in 8-2001in h-4
enrolled in school in 9-2002 in h-4
switched from h-4 to f-1 in 8-2004 and graduated in 12-2004
i was a full time student all the time, and before graduate i applied OPT.
In April, i got OPT denied letter that said i i have to be F-1 status 9 monthes and that decision can not be appealled. i have contacted international advisiors and they let me waiting for their news,they will contact immigration department to reconsider the decision.what else i could do or be ware of?
