I-140/I485 approved in 1 month

Have not been US quiet long. A chinese workmate encourage me to apply GC. He told me that he got his I-140 and I-485 approved (VSC) with the help of attony R. Kuang in 15 and 34 days, respectively. We have similiar educational backgroud: graduate from the most prestigious chinese university; 2 first-authored papers (in chinese, top journal in china). But, I am only a postdoc while he is a research associate. Is there big difference? Besides, He said I need to pay attony fee around $10,000? Is it resonable? Anybody know this attony?
