No Canadian visitor visa needed with your US GC.
Is passport needed? Depending on how you entering Canada, if directly from US to Canada, passport is not required before 2007. From 2007, even an American or Canadian citizen must use passport to enter own or other's country by land, according to a new law effective 2007.
