关于律师的作用，我认为还是应该 NOT 肯定的。

1. 我们大多数不熟悉绿卡申请的过程，许多都是道听途说，而且每个人有每个人不同的经历。mostly I agree, but after so many people around you who are succeful, this problem would be overcome.
2. 推荐信你没有办法润色得那么好；cover letter你不可能包装的那么出色。你的母语毕竟不是英文；我们实验室里有欧洲人都是自己申请也搞定了，但是毕竟英文功底不一样。不过我们实验室的印度人也是赵的中国律师办的；好像美国律师收费更高。No, at least my ref letters all from my hands and lawyer did not change anything, so to many my friends
3. I-140 和 I-485的表格那么多，你自己用手写不工整好看，即使用PDF或者是电子大自己打印，费时间，效果不好；yes or no, if you are computer blind, true, but I do not think this will affect the results
4. 不可否认律师都是为了赚钱，但是商品社会，有需求才有服务。但是一个好律师（指的是业务而已）的确能够把你包装的好一点。Maybe only package secrets, make envelop good looking, but everybody can do
5. 现在的律师费用好想都长起来了，尤其是休斯敦地区，好像由于TSC前两个月I-140 approved 的比较多。基本上现在是4000-5000美刀。不算各种表格的filing fee,体检，照相，配偶子女的EAD, 485绿卡附加费等等。I do not know what you want to say, you mean because they are really good, ten higher price, did you count inflation
6. 我的case 总共花了5800刀；现在485 pending. 刚刚地交不到一个月。总的来讲，我觉得他们还是比较仔细认真的。我还是比较满意。You did your 485 by youself? no way, that is only filling work. around me 90% people do by themself, unless doing concuurently
7. 没有人觉得花一笔大钱而开心，但是只要能够顺利就可以了。but once you knew you could have done it by yourself, you will fell pain (mynot be you, but many people)
