Withdraw Canadian Immi. case?

I filed my immigration application to Canada in May 2004 through Buffalo office. Right now I've got to the stage where I'm required to take the medical exams and to submit further documents. Due to some reasons, I decide NOT to continue my application. My question is, do I need to withdraw my application? If yes, what is the procedure to do that? Your input will be greatly appreciated!
