FP? Biometrics?

My I140/I485 (concurrently filed) are still pending. I just received a Fingerprint Notification from the USCIS and was asked a take a Biometrics. BTW, I haven't taken any FP before.

So, I guess it may be a new regulation of the USCIS to replace simple FP with Biometrics for all I485 cases that are in processing. Am I right?
