I came into the U.S. with H4 visa in Nov. 2002. And never paid attention to the expiry date of my I-94 'cause I presumed I would be in legal status as long as my spouse held H1. I changed to F1 in Sept. After reading the posts in this BBS, I took a look at my I-94 and found it expired already. The Customs/Immigrations officer only gave me 3 months' at the time of my entry.
Do I need to talk to the local INS and get my I-94 changed ASAP? Would it be possible for me to go through the revalidation process to get my H4 extended? Even though I have been in the states for so long? Meanwhile, I have no intention to change my H4 to F1 yet at this point of time. But I do plan to go back to China in the summer of 2004. So if I can get my H4 extended through the revalidation, that'll be a big help.
Thanks a lot for your generous help!!!
