about j-1 to f-2, please help!

I came USA in sep. 2000 with J-1 visa. I got "the two- year rule" waived in Aug. 2003. My boyfriend and me plan to get married this coming Dec. and I want to go back home in Jan.2004. If there is any trouble for me to apply for f-2 visa when I go back to Beijing? My boyfriend's I-20 is valid until May 2005. Thank you very much!
