I would suggest you to hire a lawyer, it's easy and quick, mine is going to expired this aug, I submitted on feb, and got notice of action already, basically, it says your h-1 extension is process and you can stay in the states even though you didn't get h-1 extension after aug, so I suggest you do it right away,
