Help on US. Citizenship

Hi there,

I have Green Card for nearly 5 years (only 3 months short from 5 years), and I am thinking of applying for US Citizenship. I am wondering if I need to wait for the 5 full years to file out the citizenship application or I can file out the citizenship applicatin 3 months earlier.

Please advise...
