FBI和State background check都要办,所以才在这里发贴求教的.有没有办过的人 是否要向加移民中心提供FBI出的无犯罪记录和美国州出的background clearance两份证明? 再请大侠帮忙解答.谢了.

Just curious how long it took people to get their results back from the FBI (on average).

It took just over 9 weeks for mine. I think 9-10 weeks is pretty average.
The state background checks are really quick but the FBI one is notoriously slow.

For every state that you lived in for 6 months or more since the age of 18, you will need a state police clearance. More info about state clearances can be found here:

The FBI clearance will take 9-12 weeks to get back in the mail, so maybe you need to ask for an extension on getting the information that CIC has requested.
