A friend of mine met same problem, he called the immigration officer, and told him that his wife can't go for interview, and Of course, he told him why (But I don't know what reasons he said). Finally the officer agreed that he went to interview by himself, and he passed the interview, and got the landing paper. So you should think about the reasons that your hu*****and can't go. then call the officer.
