I485 society memberships

Hi, I applyed 2 society memberships when submitted my I-140 and I-485 last year. Now it is time to pay 2005 membership fee. I just want to keep one of them and quit another one. Because I must pay them by myself. Does anyone have similar experience in keeping membership till I-485 or I-140 has been approved. Does anyone know some informations that the possible reference need the records of society membership?
