No offense to anyone here. As a matter of fact, H-1B CAN reenter US with an expired visa as long as (1)you return within 30 days; (2) don't TRY to apply for a visa while in Canada (3) some other trivial limitations. This is so called automatic revalidation. Check it out. If you still convince yourself, ask the lawyer of your company.
