Can my husband join me

My I485 got approved within a week of the approval of my I140 (NIW). My hu*****and did not file the i485 with me and he is holding F1 visa in USA. So my question is can he still file the I485 as follow-to-join as we married before I got the green card, or he has to wait for the visa for I130, which will take a long time. Your help is greatly appreciated.
