Caimmigration background check

Hi, dear all,

I wrote a letter on Jan 4 to Buffalo asking when my case could be finalized since my stay in the USA will expire soon. I got their letter today saying,"We are currently waiting for the results of the background check. " They don't care about you at all! Who knows how long it takes for the normal background check? Is it for everyone? I never filled out any background check form, though.
