Follow-to-join is out of

the question because his greencard was already approved. Follow-to-join is only for the people who are waiting for 485. Why he did not file an immigration petition for his wife even she was outside of US when he submitted his own 485? Maybe he never asked a lwayer about such situation. It takes at least 5 years to get a greencard holder's spouse to come here.
