US consulates' non-immigrant visa office in Canada is NOT FOR CANADIAN CITIZENS, it's for Canadian PR or foreigners. So as a Canadian citizen, you arrive at US airport, go to a US citizen/PR gate, present your Canada passport, degree certificate and offer letter, You will get a TN stamp in your passport and now authorized to work in US.
