the reason why I am worried is

I did not get along very well with one of my co-advisors when I was a graduate student. I am not sure if he can provide a strong letter (assuming he did not say anything negative at all, otherwise he will simply kill me). That is my real concern. Or I just exclude him from the reference list to avoid any potential danger. What do you think, 我见?
