Will B-2 be refused by 1-way

Mam just got visa & want to come on Jan.11. There's no ticket to China in June. I want to buy a one-way ticket. While I was told the immigration officer may refused you at the customer for the ticket (immigration purpose). It's better to buy a round-way ticket. Is that true?

Is there any B-2 was refused Or not allowed to enter at customer because of it?

Please share any information.
