Out of status questions

Hi, friends,

about 3 years ago, I tried to renew my J-1 visa through INS, and waited here in USA. But after several months of waiting it was denied. Then I went back to China, and later got my visa in China. Now I am in USA, J visa is waived, but I guess I was out of status during that waiting time 3 years ago. ( I was out of status for more than 180 days).

My hu*****and is applying for green card. My question is by the time of my adjustment of status (I485) with my hu*****and, will I get denied because of out of status before), What options do I have? Can I at least have a EAD to work etc? Can I apply for reenstatement stuff like that?
