在帮高龄母亲在线填写入籍申请N-400, 想请教大家以下问题该如何填写？

 

1. 有一项要求提供婚姻状况证书， 父亲已经去世多年，母亲一个人，我在母亲的婚姻状况选的是widowed，那这一项还需要上传任何婚姻情况的证书吗？

-Yes. Provide her marriage certificate and your father's death certificate. 

2. 最后还有一个问题，弟弟是作为母亲的绿卡成年子女， 几年前移民美国， 他还有一个孩子由前妻监护，孩子随弟弟一起申请绿卡申请，当时在national visa center online applicaiton 表格里是选的follow to join. 那么如果我母亲变成美国公民，那弟弟的孩子的follow to join 是不是就失效了？

-If your brother's green card was obtained under your mother's sponsor (i.e., your mother filed I-130 for your brother) then, what you worried about is true. So, your mother had better not apply for the naturalization until your brother's kid immigrates into US. Otherwise, the kid's willl lose the follow to join benefits.

But if your brother's green card was sponsored by you (you filed I-130 for him), then his kid's follow to join will not be affected whether your mother becomes a US citizen or not.

还是follow to join 继续有效, 因为主申请人我弟弟已经移民了？
