尊敬的8 老师，

还要麻烦您。 您是否可以解释一下 “same field" job？ 我现在很困惑因为我的绿卡申请很曲折。我的专业是美国的EE（electrical engineering), 我曽做过几年engineer的工作。 中间做过全职的公校教师，教electrical engineering & technology Education （STEM） 等课程。如果我现在的公司关闭后，我回学校教STEM， 这算"same field" job 吗? 

-You need to the DOT code and/or SOC code assigned to, or appropriate for, the initial I-140 employment is compared with the DOT code and/or SOC code for the new position. If the two codes are the same, then it is in the same or sinmilar field. Talk to the lawyer. 

另外，我儿子的公民申请正在进行，如果他成为公民后，我是否可以transfer 我的employment based into family based 的绿卡申请？

-Your son can file I-130 and then, you can ask USCIS to relink (interfiling) the pending I-485 to the I-130 after I-130 is approved or your son files I-130 and you file a new I-485 concurrently.
