-Depends how long you plan to stay in China. If you will come back before the green card extension expires indicated in the I-797 Recipt Notice for your I-90, then you just use this I-797 and the expired green card to travel. But if you plan to come back after the extension on the I-797 expires, you may call USCIS to make an appointment with the local USCIS Field Office to get the green card stamp on your passport.
By the way, do not stay in China for more than one year continuously.
