我父母2007 取得绿卡，从2007-2019，（12 年间）来往于中美之间，每年至少在美国住半年。2019年十月回国，2020初疫情爆发，就一直没有回美。主要是由于2021我母亲生病，身体虚弱无法坐飞机，母亲于今年八月过世。
现在我希望能把我爸接过来和我住，方便照顾。他的绿卡没有过期，只是已经三年没有回美。
请教老师，除了只能办I-470放弃绿卡，然后再申请探亲签证外， 有没有可能根据我们的特殊情况，直接买机票入关的可能？

-It is hard to say, depends on the immigration officer at the port of entry. Some officers may allow your father to enter US and some may not. It is risky, anyway.
