我母亲旧绿卡今年四月到期。去年11月网上申请新绿卡到现在没有消息。

-Yes, but she needs to return before the deadline of the extension (i.e., April 2023) if she cannot get the renewed green card. By the way, she cannot stay in China for more than one year unless she applies for reentry permit.
不需要AP？
-If she returns to US before teh deadline in April 2023, she does not need reentry permit (not AP). If she wants to stay in China for more than one year, she needs to apply for reenry permit.
她是不是必须六个月内回来？如果中间需要打指纹怎么办？
-Probably USCIS will use her old fingprinting in the system for the green card renewal, not need to conduct a new one.
如果中间收到绿卡就寄给她是吧？
-If she will return before the deadline, April 2023, you do not need to mail it to her. She can use the old green card and the I-90 receipt (letter) to come back. If she returns to US after the deadline, you can mail the new green card to her.
