-When you entered US using the immigrant visa, the immigrant officer at the port of entry put a stamp (endorsed the visa) on the visa in your passport. This endorsed immigant visa stamp is equal to the temporary green card which is valid for one year from the date you entered US. You can use this endorsed visa stamp to travel to China before you get the plastic green card.
