请教8老师， 

我2020年8月14日从网上申请十年绿卡更新， 之后一月内收到收据。 我绿卡2021年8月1日到期。 2021年三月收到自动一年延期的文件。 2021年六月去打指纹。 现在网上信息是“As of July 20,2021, we are actively reviewing your form I-90. Our records show nothing is outstanding at this time..." 我12 月1 日，打电话查询，收到email说12 月23 日会处理这个查询。 没有收到回复。 我一月四日又有电话查询。

现在发现我填表时误选了2.j "I have prior edition of alien registration card or replace my current card for a reason that is not specified above". 有律师说需要马上重新申请I90，

-I don't think you need to re-file I-90 unless your application is denied. USCIS has your all record and they will find this error and fix it for you because this kind of error is very common and is not your intended hiding or cheating. 

 

我这种情况现在能直接申请公民吗？ 

-Yes. You do not have to renew the green card if you apply for the US citizenship even if the current green card expired.

The only problem is that you cannot travel outside US before you get the US citizenship due to your green card expiration.
