父母人在中国，可以申请绿卡延期吗？

父母2019年底回中国，因为covid难以过来也不太愿意现在过来。绿卡4月过期。请问有什么办法renew或延期吗？如果过期了，将来来美国是不是得办签证？是不是签证很容易被拒？
