我和我妻子正在I-485pending期间，9月初提交了体检报告,移民局已经收到。我目前是用H1B工作，大概2023年十月到期；我妻子用TN签证工作，大概2023年2月到期。我们的EAD是2022年1月到期，但没有使用。我的问题是：1.我们目前还需要更新EAD吗？

-If you don't use it to work, you don't need to renew it.

2.如果需要更新，我妻子可以在TN签证到期前3个月去申请更新吗，比如2022年11月，到那时现在的EAD已经过期11个月了？

-Yes, she can renew it any time, i.e. apply for another new EAD. But she had better do it earlier (e.g., apply for it 6 to 7 months before TN expires) because the EAD approval takes time due to Covid 19.
