Dear Teacher 8,
As an update, my I-485 application sponsored by my wife(U.S citizen) has been approved by USCIS on Sep 09, 2021.
In the L1-B extension RFE letter from USCIS, it reads:
Since i am a legal permanent resident of teh US now, can i just ask the USCIS to "Request a decision based on the record"?
In this way i suppose the L1-B extension application will be rejected by USCIS, but since i am legal PR now, i can still continue to work legally inthe US. But the good thing woudl be , i dont have to prepare the RFE document s anymore, which would be a big relief for me!
Do you think it a feasible solution?

PS: Posting my background again here for your quick recall:
- I worked on the US with an initial L1-B covering JUL 25, 2018 - JUL 07, 2021. In April, 2021 my company helped to file L1-B extension application for me, which is being processed, and a RFE has been triggered in JUL 29, 2021, and i am required to provided supplementary docs by Oct 04,2021. After JUL 07, i have been working under L1-B status using the 240-day-rule.
- I have also been approved with a H1-B visa which will be effective on Oct 01, 2021.
- My wife (US Citizen) sponsored me a 485 AOS application for Permanent Resident(Green Card), which has been approved on Sep 09, 2021. I have received the I-797 Approval Notice for the 485, while the physical green card is being mailed to me.
Many thanks!
