我有一朋友是加拿大藉，目前在美国以TN签证工作，公司今年四月已帮他提交了H1B申请，公司律师通知他已抽到签，并要求他提供了一些信息（如地址和有无dependents，此人为末婚单身）。现在在等待H1B notice 以便十月一号后调整status。 但他现在想急于换工作去一个只有十人左右的startup 公司，请问8老师像这种情况，

1.是不是可以撤销H1B申请, 然后让要去工作的公司仍然申请新的TN?

-Yes, he can resign now and then, go to work for the new company with a new TN sponsored by the new company. The current company will request USCIS to cancel the H-1 quote after he leaves.

2.撤销H1B申请有什么风险?

-No. But he has to get a new H-1 quote in the future  (即重新抽签）if he changes job before Oct. 1. He has to use TN to work in this case.

If he changes job after Oct. 1, then he does not need to get a new H-1 quote, and just do H-1 transfer and work as an H-1 holder for the new company (not need TN).

）3.如果不撤消申请, 什么时候可以换工作呢（新工作的性质和目前工作的性质是相同的）?- See above.
