-Unless she has been an F-1 student, otherwise her F-1 applicaiton will not be approved due to immigration intent. But she actually does not have to have the F-1 status. Just talk ot the school if aksed for her legal status that she is adjustment of staus applicant (i.e. has pending I-485).
