请问回美证（re-entry permit)以任何理由都可以吗：比如在国内陪老人两年。

在国内的时间可以算在N400时过去5年

-If you stay outside US for more than one year continuously, your continuity of residence will be disrupted. Thus, your five-year continuity of residence needs to be re-counted from the day you return.
