8老师好，又来了。

我还在等学校的I20，在学校的系统里面填了eform Change of Status, 学校网页上给的估计处理时间是10个工作日，我在想批准I20前，他们是要跟USCIS联络吗？

-No. Only you sign the I-539 change of status, then the school can send the change of status application to USCIS if you want the school to do it for you.

要把我的信息输入USCIS 系统，通过了才发I20？是这个程序吗？

-They need to send your information to SEVIS to get he SEVIS ID# for you bewfore they issue the I-20 to you.

还有，今天我先生拿到新工作OFFER，我申请I20也同时为先生申请了F2，我是不是要马上告诉学校不需要转身份了？

-If you don't want to study, just tell the school that you withdraw the application, thus the school will not issue the I-20 for you. Then, you can file H4 extension toegther with your spouse's H1. Your spouse obsolutely does not need to change his status to F2.

但是也不知道新公司是否来得及在未来两周内（grace period 只有两周了）提交H1b transfer, 我先生倒是跟HR说了这个情况。
