8老师， 我之前结过婚又离了，后来遇到了现在的老婆，在办亲属移民，I130已批准，我是在境外等的，下一步要转去NVC。我看NVC所需要的材料里面，写了需要每一段婚姻的结婚证公证。但是我上次结婚证的公证书已经没有了，结婚证也因为离婚显示已经失效了。我去问了公证处，结果人家说已经失效了的证件就不能公证了。请问老师这种情况应该咋办？

-Ask your friend to trasnlate it into English following USCIS requirement, not need to 公证. Then, provide the copy of 结婚证原件 and the translation copy. See this link for the USCIS translation requirements:

按说有离婚证公证书就能证明上一次婚姻的状态了，不理解为什么还要结婚证。谢谢老师
