-H1B employees are TEMPORARY workers and should remain with the company only if there is a shortage of USA Citizen skilled employee. Therefore, technically H1B Visa employees should be cut before USA Citizen employees doing the same job. You can complain it to US Department of Labor if you want to. But the employer may not want to hire you back anymore if you fight him.
