Hi 法居士, i understand it,

the VO set the expire date in early Feb. and put a memo saying she is visiting her son and recommend to give 2 months. so i think the officer in customer will probably give 2 months.

the question is i hope i mother can say till the end of May at least. so it seems that the only way is to wait for the visa to expire and re-apply. so,
1. is this the right way to do?
2. is there any other ways/suggestion?
3. after the expiration, is it easier for her to apply?
4. can it be the case of interview-waiver?
